Haden Harris’ dissertation seeks to apply theories of economic anthropology to South African fishers and the communities they inhabit. The key points of his research are focused on the food security of these communities and the role conservation laws and strategies play in the fishers’ ability to provide for themselves, whether positive or negative. He is currently in the proposal development stage of his dissertation.
