Title: Community Dynamics and Land Reform: A case study of the Ebenhaeser land restitution claim based in the West Coast Municipality of the Western Cape
Caitlin’s honours dissertation delved into the complexities of land reform in post-apartheid South Africa. Her study of the Ebenhaeser land claim examined the challenges faced by a community divided between Papendorp and Ebenhaeser, highlighting how the Community Property Association (CPA) becomes deeply intertwined with the process of community-making. Her work contributes to understanding how communities are made, remade, and the subsequent tensions embedded within the land restitution process.
