Project title: Back to Nature – meaning giving of nature in the age of the Anthropocene.
Adara is looking at the meanings of nature in the Anthropocene and how we socially construct and reconstruct it. The Karoo National Park is an area that went from nature, to farmlands and then back to nature making it significant in the narrative of both physical and social construction regarding nature.
Adara completed her undergraduate in BA – Humanities, with a double major in Sociology and Social Anthropology, in 2016 at Stellenbosch University. She is currently enrolled for an honours degree in Social Anthropology at the same institution.
